A unique window into the Holy Land

Friends of Sabeel Australia Inc is planning a guided tour of the Holy Land to coincide with the Sixth International Sabeel Conference in Jerusalem: 3-9 November 2006.

Travel agent services are being provided by Mission Travel Services, a Melbourne-based travel company that specialises in providing travel services to missionaries, churches, religious orders, humanitarian organisation's, relief workers, qualified not-for-profit organisations and NGO’s. MTS will handle all the tour arrangements from this end of things, and will work closely with Guiding Star Ltd in Jerusalem for any local arrangements while we are there.

A provisonal program with preliminary costs is now available, but is subject to change.

Your guide for this tour will be the Revd Dr Greg Jenks. Greg is an Anglican priest and biblical scholar who has spent time in the Holy Land as Visiting Professor to St George's College in Jerusalem. His special academic interests include the history of ancient Israel, historical Jesus studies and the origins of early Christianity. In addition to serving as President of the Friends of Sabeel Australia, Greg is Executive Trustee for the FaithFutures Foundation and convenor of the Brisbane chapter of the Centre for Progressive Religious Thought.
